The Role: Associate Site Merchandiser

We're seeking a forward-thinking Associate Site Merchandiser eager to redefine retail tech. As a key player in merging AI with fashion and e-commerce, you'll do more than merchandise—you'll innovate. Your role focuses on elevating lifestyle and trend collections for diverse clients, staying current with fashion trends, comprehending unique customer merchandising strategies, and using sales data for impactful merchandising. You'll be working alongside our customer success team to determine which stories to tell and when to deliver the best business results. You will also work with our engineers to inform advanced data science, AI, and engineering that matches products with consumer lifestyles, influences our algorithm, creates captivating curations, and develops bespoke recommendation systems that pioneer industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fashion Trend Expertise:

    • Stay updated on the latest fashion trends and industry developments.

    • Possess a keen sense of style and creativity, with the ability to bring ideas to life

  • Customer Merchandising:

    • Able to merchandise and approve AI-powered lifestyle and trend collections across a variety clients and their target customer 

    • Able to review and maintain individual merchandising rules and strategies while working alongside engineers to inform algos.

  • Data Integration:

    • Ability to understand sales data and analytics and merge them into the merchandising process to optimize collections and improve KPIs.

    • Analyzes market trends and customer insights to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks.

  • Adaptability and Flexibility:

    • Stay abreast of changing customer preferences and market trends.

    • Quickly adjust to new merchandising guidelines and client expectations.

    • Ability to execute against ideas quickly, context switching to support changing demands from your clients.

  • Communication Skills:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to customer merchandising.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • A degree in Fashion, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

    • Minimum 1 year experience at a retail organization, preferably in Site Merchandising, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising.   

  • Fashion Acumen:

    • Strong knowledge of current fashion trends, styles, and brands.

    • Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and cohesive outfits.

  • Data Literacy:

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make insightful, data-driven decisions.

    • Proficient skills in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft ExcelAdaptability:

    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing fashion trends and client preferences.

  • Communication Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to effectively convey styling ideas and concepts to clients.

  • Team Player:

    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
